Medical Freedom Bill
In November 2020 we started a campaign for a Medical Freedom Bill. Although all pandemic related restrictions and mandates have been lifted, it is not over yet.
Campaigning for Medical Freedom has been hugely successful. We have managed to make our voices heard and protect ourselves from further Human Rights infringements and draconian laws.
The Government u-turned on it’s plans to mandate domestic vaccine passports for many venues. They also u-turned on the vaccine mandates for NHS and Care Home staff, meaning we never have had domestic passports like much of the rest of the world.
This is the result of relentless campaigning and lobbying by you and us – along with having nearly 1 million marching through London, united, in June 2021.
As it stands the majority of these issues are done away with, however there are still small pockets where issues remain.
From NHS trusts not allowing visitors, Health Care Professionals having their bodily autonomy trampled on and jobs being advertised with vaccine requirements on.
Therefore we must continue.
The purpose of aiming for a Medical Freedom Bill was to ensure that not only would this sort of discrimination would stop in the present situations, but also that it would never happen again in the future.
We are still working on this in the background so please sign up to the mailing list to ensure you hear about the next steps.
In the meantime there are some wonderful resources out there if you are in need. The UK Medical Freedom Alliance has fully researched and referenced letters that you can use for a variety of situations including not being able to visit family who are in hospital or care homes. Further to that if you are a Healthcare Professional then you can join the NHS100K for mutual, peer to peer, support and the Workers of England Union for professional support in any areas.
